Bio Folk Estate: Gift Card Terms and Conditions
Gift cards from Bio Folk Estate are a thoughtful way to support friends, family, or neighbors during difficult transitions, such as hoarding remediation or property restoration. To ensure clarity and professional service, all gift cards are subject to the following policy:
1. Redemption and Use
-
Service Coverage: Gift cards are valid for any professional service offered by Bio Folk Estate, including biohazard remediation, crime scene cleanup, hoarding cleanup, and odor removal.
-
Scheduling: Redemption is subject to our standard scheduling availability. We recommend booking in advance to ensure your preferred time slot.
-
Applicable Toward Deposits: Gift cards may be used to cover the required $200 security deposit or applied to the final balance after the work is completed.
2. Expiration and Fees
-
No Expiration: In accordance with Michigan law, Bio Folk Estate gift cards do not expire. Your credit remains valid until the full balance is used.
-
No Maintenance Fees: We do not charge "dormancy" or maintenance fees. The value you purchase is the value that remains on the card.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
-
Non-Refundable: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
-
Standard Cancellation Policy: If a service is booked using a gift card and canceled with less than 24 hours notice, the standard $200 deposit value will be deducted from the gift card balance.
-
Post-Service Finality: Once a service is completed and paid for using a gift card, that transaction is final. As per our standard refund policy, no refunds will be issued after the work has been performed.
4. Lost or Stolen Cards
-
Please treat your gift card like cash. Bio Folk Estate is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of gift cards. However, if you have proof of purchase, we will do our best to locate the digital record and secure your balance.
5. Remaining Balances
-
If a service total is less than the value of the gift card, the remaining balance will stay on the card for future use. If a service total exceeds the gift card value, the customer is responsible for paying the remaining balance upon completion of the work.
